Voters? It’s the truth they thirst for | Letters

I don’t often respond to letters in the Journal, but when I do, it’s because the issue is significant.

The upcoming hospital commission election is so important and contentious that the whales will probably come to the San Juans this summer just to watch us.

The voters of San Juan County are not stupid. They see through name-calling and misquotes. The voters thirst for the truth.

They thirst for answers from the candidates on how religion plays a part in our only hospital. They thirst to know if maternity care will ever be provided here. They thirst to know whether established laws will be followed, and how money is spent.

We need to focus on these issues and not call people “dim lights.”

And if you’re going to quote me, at least do so accurately. STAY THIRSTY, my friends
