Happy 100 to the Palace Theatre!
My mom, Jackie Douglas Hubbard, tells stories of when Florence Graversen Benson owned the theater in the 1930s. My mom and her grade school pals would pay 10 cents for a matinee ticket and then fight over who would sit in the middle seat in the front row.
On another note, I love the drawing of the theater on a car-less Spring Street –now, that’s a pleasant scene!
