Vote Ghatan as mayor | Letter

I highly recommend a vote to re-elect Farhad Ghatan as the Mayor of Friday Harbor on Nov. 2, 2021. I have been a part of the Town Council since 2010 and have some experience in working with and experiencing leadership within the Town.

Farhad is a long-time resident of 30 years, as well as a local business owner who understands the needs of our community. In addition to being the current mayor, he has served in many ways as a Town Council member and previous chair of the Town Planning Commission. Farhad is also chair of the Friday Harbor Arts Commission and serves on the County Housing Commission. He has also been part of many other town and county boards and committees, including service organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Soroptimists.

I have known Farhad for 18 years and feel he is a qualified candidate and endorse him as the future Mayor of Friday Harbor to continue with the progress and accomplishments he has been part of that the Town of Friday Harbor has enjoyed.
