The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce will present a meeting to provide information on Washington’s Initiative 1433 from 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8 at Brickworks.

According to www.lni.wa.gov, the initiative requires employers to provide paid sick leave to most employees beginning Jan. 1, 2018.

Eva Coblentz, of the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, will discuss requirements and employee rights. A question and answer session will follow.
