San Juan Island’s Pirrette Rouse bought just one raffle ticket, but that was all she needed to win a nine-day, eight-night stay in a two-bedroom condominium on the Kona side of Hawaii.
The raffle drawing, a featured event at the San Juan County Pioneer Festival, Saturday, Sept. 21 at the San Juan Island Historical Museum, was a fundraiser for Friday Harbor Grange.
Grange members Frank and Pat Penwell donated the use of the condo for the raffle. San Juan County Sheriff Rob Noe donned a blindfold to select the winning ticket.
