The Wolverine varsity volleyball team is riding a winning streak, and the JVs are just a little bit short of the same.

Last Tuesday at Orcas, the FHHS varsity won by a score of 3-0 and the JV team won 2-1. (See right.)

Hosting Mount Vernon Christian on Thursday, the varsity squeezed out a 3-2 victory while the FHHS and MVC JV teams tied at 1-1.

Last Saturday, the JV team traveled to La Conner for an invitational meet involving nine teams. Friday Harbor defeated Mount Vernon Christian and Seattle Lutheran, both by scores of 2-0, and advanced to the Championship bracket. Although the Wolverines lost to Sedro Woolley, they emerged in third place over-all for the tournament.

The first half of the season ends with games against two teams they haven’t faced yet: yesterday they played at Concrete, and this Thursday they’ll play at La Conner.
