Wolverines shutout Lyncs in 11-0 season-opening win | Prep baseball

Senior Bill Revercomb open the game with a lead-off home run and Friday Harbor scored four runs in its first at-bat to grab an early lead.

Senior Gabe Lawson and sophomore Kai Herko combined on a six-inning shutout to lead the Wolverines to a 11-0 runaway win in their season opener Wednesday, March 18, at Lynden Christian.

Senior Bill Revercomb open the game with a lead-off home run and Friday Harbor scored four runs in its first at-bat to grab an early lead. The Wolverines added five more in the fifth and two more in the sixth to seal the victory in the non-conference match up on the road.

Brandin Allen knocked in a pair of runs and Lawson had two base hits in five at-bats to go along with a win in his first appearance of the season on the mound. Herko took over pitching duties in the fifth and tossed two innings of shutout relief.

Friday Harbor will open Northwest 2B/1B League play at home Tuesday, March 24, hosting Orcas Island, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Hartman Field.
