The Friday Harbor Wolverines battled the Coupeville Wolves on Oct. 1. The ferries were running 45 minutes late.

The Coupeville players and referees arrived close to 7:45 p.m. — later than the start at 6:30 p.m. Game play started at 8 p.m. The Wolverines were first to score and continued scoring till the third quarter when the Wolves got a touchdown. That was all the Wolves could muster for the rest of the game as the Wolverine defense held them back. The final score was Wolverines 32 to the Wolves 6.

The Wolverines also faced South Whidbey Falcons on Friday, Oct. 8. The team lost 34-14.
