To the victor goes the spoils.

On the heels of its fourth consecutive league title, though La Conner grabbed a share, the 2011 Friday Harbor girls soccer team claimed a stockpile of post-season awards.

Seniors Larissa Nash, Mandy Turnbull and Mickey Leytze earned Northwest 1A/2B League first team honors, as did sophomore Emily Guard. Seniors Rhiana Franklin, Liz Taylor and Audrey Olshefsky were named all-league second team. Head Coach Mark Fishaut, who is stepping down after six seasons at the helm, shared in the post-season honors as well.

Fishaut, for the second time during his tenure with the Friday Harbor program, was named 2011 league Coach of the Year. On the volleyball court, junior Kaylen Meeker earned all-league honorable mention honors for her performance this season. The Friday Harbor football team also brought home several awards as well.

Sophomore Nate Steenkolk was named first team all-league as running back and linebacker, while junior Donald Galt earned first team honors in the secondary, and sophomore running back Dylan Radden was a first team all-league selection as well.
