The Friday Harbor Wolverines played the Darrington Loggers at Sedro-Woolley on Feb 20.

The game began with the Loggers gaining a huge lead of 18 points in the first quarter. Nearing half time the Loggers still had a 12 point lead. The Wolverines finally came to life near the end of the third quarter and began scoring more points but the point spread had the Loggers still with the 12 point lead. But by the fourth quarter, the Wolverines were almost tied.

Ethan Germain was fouled twice during the last 5 minutes of play and made all four foul shots bringing the Wolverines within 1 point of the Loggers! With 6 seconds remaining on the clock Gavin Mason was fouled and made his two decisive baskets giving the Wolverines a one-point lead! The Loggers got the ball into play, down the court, into scoring position but didn’t make the basket the Wolverines got the rebound and the win, 48-47.

Next game for the regional playoff to be announced.
