Friday Harbor Wolverines ‘give back’ with youth soccer mini-camp | Girls Soccer

Since 2006, the Friday Harbor Wolverines girls soccer team has taken as its cause increasing awareness and raising funds for breast cancer education, research and support for those who are ill. October 2010's activities have included the continued sale of "Kicks Against Breast Cancer" pins, and of pink ribbons and baked goods. The team's kickoff to the month was a mini-camp for island youth soccer players Oct. 2, led by members of the team.

The team’s kickoff to the month was a mini-camp for island youth soccer players Oct. 2, led by members of the team. It was a beautiful afternoon and for two hours all had lots of fun as both campers and instructors learned a lot about soccer and sharing. It was a great way for emerging adult players to give back to the community through the sport they love.
