On the mound, junior Shawn Cutting held the Loggers scoreless over four innings to earn the victory. Jangard closed out the game in the final two innings. Senior Parker Lawson and junior Tanner Buck each had a double to add to the Wolverines .427 slugging percentage in the opening game.

The Wolverines were equally impressive at the plate in the nightcap. Buck and senior Justin “J.J.” James each connected on a pair of base hits, including a double, and Jangard proved the first one was no fluke by sending another long ball over the fence for his second home run of the twin bill and fourth of the season.

Junior Roy Taylor held the Loggers scoreless over four innings and Buck pitched one inning of scoreless relief as the Wolverines pocketed a 15-0 shutout in just five innings of play.

The Wolverines improved to 11-1 in league and 13-4 overall.
