Saturday, the Friday Harbor Wolverines defeated Nooksack Valley 2-0 at Nooksack to tighten their grip on the league lead.

The Wolverines are now 6-2 overall and undefeated in league.

Whitney Porter scored in the 35th minute, assisted by Mandy Turnbull, to lead 1-0 at the half. Center mid Alex MacDonald scored off an Elle Guard pass in the 68th minute.

Final score: Friday Harbor 2, Nooksack 0.

In J.V. action, Madi McPadden and Mickey Leytze each scored two goals to lead Friday Harbor to a 5-1 win.

The Wolverines completed the first half of league play undefeated, blanking the Concrete Lions 3-0.

Five minutes in, Whitney Porter headed in a cross from Elle Guard in the 5th minute for a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Clara Brand scored on a feed from Lola Elford in the 51st minute. Porter again tallied off a pass from Mandy Turnbull in the 59th minute to complete the scoring.
