Steve Duzan of Friday Harbor made a hole-in-one at Pacific Dunes Course, in Bandon, Ore., today.

It’s Duzan’s fourth hole in one. He made the ace with a 9-iron on the 141-yard No. 14.

J.R. Remspecher, the course’s assistant golf pro, said the course gets a “fair amount of play,” but it was the first hole in one in about four months.

“There are deep bunkers left and right, and the green kind of sits on a plateau,” Remspecher said of the 14th hole. “His ball bounced a couple of times and tracked like it was a putt, and went in.”

The hole-in-one was witnessed by fellow Friday Harbor golfers Mike Fortun, Jay Lien and Roger Salquist.
