Redmond Ridge is a target golf course. Golfers have to hit from spot to spot and if the landing zone is missed, you probably won’t see that golf ball again.

The shining star on the Friday Harbor team was Cuomo. “Being the only girl in the field was intimidating for both Megan and the male players,” first-year coach Jack Rice said. “None of our players have ever seen this course before so it was a character-building experience. Local knowledge really comes into play on a course of this type.”

Other Friday Harbor scores: Tyler McKee, 45; Quinn Bune, 49; William King, 49; Max McCormick, 57; Taylor Malloy, 59.

Team scores: Overlake, 169; Bear Creek, 177; Life Christian, 184; Friday Harbor, 186.
