Beware of scams | Letter

Grandparent alert! Someone called us this morning impersonating our grandson.

This person was crying on the phone, telling us that he was in jail because he was in a car that had been stopped, a car with two kilos of cocaine stashed in the trunk.

He said he needed bond money or he was going to have to spend 60 days in jail. (He said he had a bad cold, which was why he sounded strange.) I had my wife call the grandson on her cell, and the real grandson was at work, not in jail. A SCAM!!! I have no words that can do justice to my anger! Glad Carolee has a strong heart! Watch out. Several friends have it happen to them.
