Marco F. Vitulli | 1934 -2017

Marco F. Vitulli, a lifelong pilot, took his last flight on Oct. 14, 2017 surrounded by his family at his home in Friday Harbor.

Marco was born in Seattle and grew up in Bothell on the Vitulli family farm, graduated from Bothell High School in 1951 and Stanford University in 1955. He entered the United States Air Force, and in 1957 proudly received his USAF Jet Pilot Diploma as a First Lieutenant. Marco was very involved in real estate development in Bothell and Cabo de Sol. Marco was an avid pilot for more than 40 years. He was also a hunter, fisherman, skier, world traveler, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Marco was loved by all who knew him.

Marco is survived by his wife Fritzie, daughters Maria Vitulli (Justin), Kari Bennett (Mike), Stephanie Castle (Mike), Michelle Lambright (Brian), Jennifer Hagstrom (Brad), 13 grandchildren, his sister Frances Lindquist, several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church, 429 Price Street, Friday Harbor, WA 98250 on Saturday, Nov. 11 at noon. The celebration will follow at 2 p.m. at the San Juan Island Yacht Club, 273 Front Street, Friday Harbor.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marco’s name to Union Gospel Mission and the Salvation Army.
