Lesa Williams

Lesa Anne Williams

June 14, 1952 — October 13, 2013

Following a long battle with early onset dementia, Lesa passed away peacefully in Warm Springs, Mont. on Oct. 13, 2013, after seeing all her children together one last time.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Lesa grew up as an island girl which is how fate brought her to Friday Harbor, Wash. in the late 1970s. After moving to Friday Harbor she met and married Rick Waldron, and together they raised three children.

Lesa loved the summers on the island the most because it was warm, sunny and there were flowers everywhere. Having started her own plant nursery, Amity Gardens, in the early 1980s, it was clear to anyone that knew her how much she loved to share her passion for plants with others.

She spent many years entering her beautiful flowers in the county fair, participating in the farmer’s market every Saturday, and helping plant flowers at English Camp every summer.

Her loving and kind heart did not stop at just her plants and flowers. She was also a dedicated mother to her two sons and daughter. She always made sure that they came before everything else, never missing out on anything.

She is survived by her ex-husband Rick Waldron, her children; Eli Williams, Trevor Waldron, Amanda (Ryan) Ahlquist, and her two grandchildren, Izeac Davis and Kaden Ahlquist.

She was predeceased in death by her mother Nancy Joy, father Carl Williams and step-mother Diane Williams.

She will always be remembered by her children for her huge heart, love of life, beautiful long flowing hair, and pleasant smile. As a family, her children will be scattering most of her ashes in the Hawaiian ocean to put her to rest where she came from.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlcares.com.
