Late Monday night, Sept. 21, 2020, John Rhodes Goulter passed away at age 72.

John was born to Stan and Martha Goulter in Oregon in 1947. John attended UW, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He raised two daughters on Mercer Island with his former wife of 24 years, Beverly Mizuta.

After retiring from AutoChlor Systems in 2000, John moved to Friday Harbor, Washington, where he enjoyed spending his days eating lunch at the many beautiful beaches, sailing, playing pool at China Pearl and Herbs Tavern, and attending events at the American Legion.

His love of nature, greatness at pool and calm presence will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. John is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Goulter-Dunn and Hillary Goulter and his grandsons, Ryder Hawk and Asher Rhodes.
