Dolores “Dee” Elizabeth Hutchins, 86, of Friday Harbor, Washington, and long-time resident of Rockport, Texas, passed away at her home on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020. She was born Sept. 5, 1933, in Chadron, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Mary (McKindoe) Benitz. Dee married her husband Jean in 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and their daughter Pam was born in 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Jean. She is survived by her daughter Pam of Friday Harbor, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7 at Valley Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Island Community Church.
