It is with great sadness that the family of David William Curtis announces his passing, in San Isidro, Costa Rica, after illness, on Sept. 4, 2019, at the age of 64 years.

Dave had a love for the culinary arts and worked in many of the finest restaurants in Seattle and San Juan Island. Dave also enjoyed traveling, music, sports, fishing, cooking and socializing with friends. Later, in his life, Dave moved to Sun Valley, Idaho, and then retired to Costa Rica.

Dave is survived by and will be forever remembered by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Teresa Curtis.

Dave will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Sean and Devin Curtis of Friday Harbor, Washington, and Mallory and Madison Curtis of Seattle, Washington, along with step nephews and niece, Tyler, Thalia and Carter Stewart of Sun Valley, Idaho.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Dave at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Brickworks in Friday Harbor.
