Bob Grazia | 1941-2021

Bob Grazia died on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, with his beloved wife Daryl by his side. He is now in the hearts of all of us who grieve our loss.

Bob was one of four boys, born and raised in Winsted, Connecticut. He maintained dozens of lifelong friends from his high school years in Winsted.

He started his career as a banker but was a jack of all trades and went on to work as a stone mason and in his later years, he worked for the National Park Service in Friday Harbor, Washington.

Around Friday Harbor, Bob was affectionately known as “Island Bob.” He took interest in people and he was relentless in his pursuit of conversation with strangers and friends alike.

Bob enjoyed hiking and kayaking in and around the San Juan Islands and was an avid skier well into his 70s.

He loved his family and friends fiercely. Bob is survived by his wife Daryl; his children, Kyle (Lisa) Grazia, Karen Grazia, Keith Grazia, Robert Grazia, Lisa Braun, and Ryan (Lisa) Flamm; his grandchildren, Cole, Aidan, Tanner, Bella, Bri, and Ethan; and his brothers, Jack and Tom.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Grazia.

Memorials may be made to the San Juan Preservation Trust http://SJPT.org.
