Bernice Cochran | 1935-2020

Our Mom, Bernice L. Cochran 84, passed away in her sleep on June 6, 2020.

The third of eight children she was born and raised in Minnesota.

She met and fell in love with David A. Cochran and they were married in 1950. They raised six children in northern Minnesota.

Bernice was a stay at home mother and wife.

She loved to and was incredibly good at cooking and baking. (We will miss her fried chicken and cinnamon twists.) She also loved spending time with family and friends.

In 1986, Dave and Bernice decided to leave Minnesota and moved to Friday Harbor, Washington.

Roche Harbor was her first job outside the home and she was extremely proud of that. She made many friends while working there.

After they moved to Friday Harbor, they loved to spend time on the West Side hoping to see the whales pass by and they loved walking at South Beach.

She is preceded in death by her father George; her mother Norma; her sister Veora and her brother Walt. And by our dad, David.

She will be incredibly missed by her children Connie (Walt) King; Mark Cochran; Deborah (Jeff) Bauer; Christine (George) Miller; Brenda (Tony) Sanders; and Missy (Don) Reitan. And also missed by their 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
