What’s the buzz? Find answers to questions by Co-op members online

Answers to a series of questions and comments offered up at the recent OPALCO annual meeting are available online at the Co-op website, listed under "Recently Asked Questions."

No fewer than 54 members of Orcas Power & Light Cooperative offered up questions and comments at the Co-op’s recent annual meeting, and did so with an expectation that their queries would be answered by Co-op.

And, indeed they have.

The answers to those series of questions and comments are available online at the Co-op’s website, listed under “Recently Asked Questions“: www.opalco.com/members.

A total of 337 people attended the May 2 annual meeting, the Co-op’s 78th yearly gathering. At the meeting, those in attendance were invited to provide feedback on how OPALCO is doing by posting comments on a “Did Well, Do Better” chart and survey.

Some excerpts from the survey:

Did well:

• No outages at my house this year.

• Project PAL to help low-income people

• Working with Conservation District on community solar

• Improved internet, thank you

Do Better:

• Rates that incentivize conservation

• More affordable Internet

• Build PAL funding into rate structure: everyone pays

• Spend more time on member comments (at annual meeting) – less on door prizes
