The men’s public restroom in Sunshine Alley will be closed until further notice.

Over the past several months, there has been a significant increase in vandalism at the Sunshine Alley Restrooms.

In the most recent incident from sometime over the weekend, the door and its new electronic lock were forced

and broken in what appears to be an attempt to make the facility accessible after hours.

To discourage further incidents, Town has closed the men’s restroom until repairs can be completed. Town is trying

to expedite the project but does not yet have a time frame for the repairs.

The women’s restroom will remain open to the public at this point in time. Alternative restroom facilities are located

at the Port of Friday Harbor and WSF Terminal.
