At approximately 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, a woman was struck by a car at the Anacortes ferry landing.

According to Sergeant Dave Floyd of the Anacortes Police Department, the woman was walking across the ferry line when she was hit. The driver of the car said she did not see the woman. The woman did not suffer major injuries but will require stitches.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
