Jordan Colin Lynn-Jefferson, 19, of Orcas Island, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and drug possession.
In May, he was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. After failing to appear in court for those charges, Lynn-Jefferson was arrested by deputies on Aug. 7 in Eastsound for an outstanding warrant. Upon taking him into custody, the deputy found him with methadone that was prescribed to someone else.
Lynn-Jefferson has a hearing about his original drug possession charge on Aug. 24. He has not been charged for the additional drug possession.
The methamphetamine charge stems from an incident on April 29 when Lynn-Jefferson was taken into custody because he had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. While searching him, a deputy found a hypodermic needle, which had a clear liquid inside, according to court documents. The deputy recalled that Lynn-Jefferson said the liquid was “water.” According to court documents, the deputy also found a large blue rubber band and a baggy with a white crystalline substance. The deputy conducted a field test kit, which concluded the substance was methamphetamine.
Lynn-Jefferson’s criminal record includes disorderly conduct.
