Emergency response is underway for J50, a 4-year-old orca whale who is starving and near death.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is trying to make a clear assessment of what is ailing her, and will then proceed with getting the young whale help, which could include feeding her live chinook dosed with medicine.
