The Leagues of Women Voters of Washington and Benton-Franklin Counties are pleased to present all three candidates for the Office of Attorney General to the voters. A candidate forum will be held June 18 at 6:00 pm at the WSU Tri-Cities campus in Richland, WA. The 90-minute forum will be in person and will be recorded and streamed live by Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB).
Voters can expect to hear candidates respond to questions about the office and how they would fulfill the role of Attorney General. Questions will come from the public. Candidates Nick Brown, Manka Dhingra, and Pete Serrano have confirmed that they will be attending.
“The Attorney General position is incredibly important to state government and to Washington citizens,” said LWVWA President Mary Coltrane. “Voters need to know how the candidates would represent the State of Washington in legal proceedings, as well as the support their office will provide for consumer issues.”
Diane Molleson, President of the LWV of Benton-Franklin Counties, added, “The League of Women Voters of Benton and Franklin Counties welcomes the state candidates for Attorney General to the Tri-Cities. We appreciate the opportunity to hear from them directly to help voters make informed decisions.”
The public is invited to attend the in-person forum, but seating will be limited. NWPB will also livestream the forum on its YouTube Channel. After the event, voters will find the forum posted on www.lwvwa.org and www.nwpb.org.
