Karin Agosta of San Juan Island said her name is listed as a supporter of Lisa Guard, candidate for San Juan County Council, San Juan South, in a campaign ad and on Guard’s Web site.

Agosta said she has not publicly endorsed any candidate.

“At no time was I requested to endorse her. I have not publicly endorsed Lisa or any other candidate in the current race. Indeed, it would be very unusual for me to endorse publicly any candidate for any office in any race,” Agosta wrote in an e-mail to The Journal.
