County seeks testimony on the 2020 Annual Docket

The San Juan County Council will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the 2020 Annual Docket (San Juan County Code 18.90.020). The annual docket is the process through which members of the community request changes to the county’s Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code. After the public hearing, the county council will decide whether the proposed docket items should be placed on the Department of Community Development’s work program. It is possible that the hearing will take place telephonically to comply with social distancing measures if they remain in effect through the hearing date. Details for participating over the phone are provided below. Notice will be posted to the county website if the hearing will be held in-person.

The hearing will begin at or after 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the County Council Chambers, 55 Second St., Friday Harbor, WA. How to Comment: The official comment period is July 29-Aug. 24, unless the county council extends the comment period. Written comments about particular docket requests should refer to the project number given for the request in the staff report (i.e. 20-0001). Written comments submitted prior to noon on Aug. 24 will be copied for the council members unless they wish to review comments online at https://www.sanjuanco.com/1658/2020-Annual-Docket. If requested in your written submittal, the staff will read your written comments into the record.
