3.2-magnitude earthquake hits near San Juan Islands

The U.S. Geological Survey website reports that a 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck near the San Juan Islands at around 10 a.m., Friday, June 8.

The earthquake occurred about 12 miles southwest of Point Roberts, Washington, which is about 20 miles from the San Juans.

Those on San Juan and Orcas Islands reported feeling the effects, as well as those in Bellingham, Washington, and Victoria, British Columbia.
