The San Juan Islands Conservation District YCC Program has been affected by the governor’s COVID-19 phased restrictions for programming and will be operating in a limited capacity through the 2020 season. There will be far fewer positions available for youth this year. Any programming offered will include strict and specific COVID-19 Risk Management Protocols. Reduced capacity is due to a combination of factors including the COVID-19 virus as well as funding limitations. Youth programming on the islands will likely increase in demand but financial support may become more scarce.

An easy and extremely helpful way for individuals to help support YCC and local youth programming countywide is by purchasing the San Juan Islands special license plate, in which 90 percent of proceeds go directly back into local San Juan county youth programming financial support.
