Singer-songwriter Devorah is on bicycle en route to ABC Studios in Los Angeles, hoping to arrive in time for her birthday Aug. 5.

Devorah hopes to get an appearance on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show. She performed July 1 at Pazzo Vivo, then left the island on the redeye July 2.

Hello from Oakland, Oregon!!!

I left Friday Harbor one week ago for an early birthday (Aug. 5) adventure. It’s a bicycle tour, a documentary, and the destination is Hollywood!! “The Legs and Lungs Tour”!!!

I’ll be providing Twitter updates directly from my Web site, www.devorahmusic.com. The front page will provide you the link.

This is also a promotional tour of the CD “Irrepressible.” I am looking to my personal e-mail list (that’s you!!) to help create a data/fan base by asking all of you to share my Web site with your friends and your e-mail contacts … requesting them to do the same … a musical chain letter!!!

My producer, Chad Quist did this, and in 3 days, those downloads made a huge difference in my finances and possibilities to continue to share my gift of music and spontaneity … this feels very harmonic to my life path.

Monday, while in Eugene, Ore. … I had an unexpected eye surgery. There were two tears of my retina, and according to the impeccable work of Dr. John Haines, we caught this in time before any possible detachment might have occurred. I’m telling you this as a further affirmation that family, friends and past ophthalmologists lovingly stepped in to help me with this process … you know who you are and thank you for having me in your lives.

All for now … Hwy. 138 to Hwy. 36 is calling!!!
