SeaDoc Society celebrates 20 years of science and education in the Salish Sea

Registration is currently open for their ‘Cheers to 20 Years’ online event

Amid the ongoing pandemic, the SeaDoc Society made the decision to cancel their “Wine & Sea Auction” this summer. But because this year is the Orcas Island-based marine science program’s 20-year anniversary, they will still be celebrating in style. Registration is currently open for their “Cheers to 20 Years” event, and anybody is welcome to attend for just $5.

The virtual celebration will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. The evening will be hosted by Science Director Joe Gaydos and auction favorite Jim Donald, plus cameos by other charismatic megafauna and the debut of new videos that will look back at 20 years of inspiring work.

Registration is $5 and includes admission to the live Zoom event, where you’re invited to sit back with a glass of wine, or your beverage of choice, and enjoy the show. Register at seadocsociety.org/auction.
