Submitted by San Juan County Fair

The fun, festive and ever-popular scarecrows return to the San Juan County Fair, Aug. 16-19. Have a scarecrow you’d like to submit? Check out the entry guidelines, including size requirements at www.sjcfair.org. Then, bring scarecrows to the fair office to be assigned a place on the grounds on entry day, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Judging will be “people’s choice.” Vote at any of the six information kiosks located around the fair in the following categories; most creative, best recycled, best themed, and best traditional.
