Auditions will take place on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Performing Arts Resource Center located at 70 Salt Spring Road. Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor.

Actors ages 17 and up are encouraged to audition for this delightful den of comedic genius! If you are interested but unable to attend auditions, send an email to the production director Penelope Haskew at penelope@sjctheatre.org.

For auditions, please prepare approximately 16-32 bars (roughly a verse and chorus) of an uptempo modern (post 1980) musical theatre song as well as a 30 second monologue. Auditions will also include readings from the script (sides). The sides will be available beginning Jan. 18 at the SJCT Box Office, open 11am- 2pm, Tuesday-Friday.

Copies of the full script are also available with a $10 deposit (refundable on return of the script). Please note that all cast and crew must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
