Rotary Club members, Barbara and Frank Fagan, Steve Bowman, Mike Griffin, Bill Hancock, Stan Liebenberg, and Rick Hughes recently gifted various dictionaries to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Friday Harbor Elementary, Paideia, Griffin Bay, Still Point, Orcas Elementary, Salmonberry, OASIS, and Lopez Elementary schools. What joy to give each student a book after two years of Covid restrictions!

For the past 18 years, Rotary’s Dictionary Project has gifted 4,512 dictionaries under the leadership of Barbara Fagan, Literary Chair.

As computers enter the classrooms, we remind the students when the computer is down your dictionary and thesaurus are still up and running!

The Dictionary Project continues to bring fun learning and gift of words for all to share.
