A financial assistance fund has been set up at Islanders Bank by friends of Jerry Wilson, who is battling prostate cancer.

A longtime islander, Wilson was a manger at Friday Harbor’s former InterWest Bank, loan officer at Islanders Bank and UPS delivery man.

Treatment costs are expected to exceed the Wilson family’s insurance and to be beyond the family’s ability to pay.

Donation on Wilson’s behalf can be made to the Jerry Wilson Medical Fund, at Islanders Bank.
