McGilvery earns U.S. Navy achievement award

McGilvery, 25, was presented with the award Oct. 1 for professional achievement as assistant work center supervisor in the reactor electrical division and reactor department of the U.S.S. Nimitz in September.

Friday Harbor High School graduate Flynn McGilvery is the recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

A six-year Navy veteran, McGilvery, Friday Harbor High Class of ’07, is a electrician’s mate, second class, serving on the U.S.S. Nimitz, stationed in Bremerton, Wash.

McGilvery is the son of Roger McGilvery of Friday Harbor.
