The San Juan Island Lions Club gave a grant of $1,000 to Lion Stacey Smith to produce multiple weather-retardant 24-inch by 36-inch aluminum photo boards that describe information relating to the plastic pickup on beaches and the land animals and marine mammals affected by plastics on beaches and in our oceans. The boards will be going into the interpretive center at Jackson Beach which will be opening this summer.
