Submitted by the San Juan Island Trails Committee
This Saturday, Sept. 28, is the monthly Know Your Island Walk!
This month, visit the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank’s Beaverton Mash Preserve.
Join Land Bank staff member, Shauna Barrows, at the Dragonfly Loop Trailhead for a stroll around the preserve’s 2.5 (ish) loop. Engage those quads and as well as the brain while learning about the site’s history and upcoming forest health project, as well as some fun plant identification. It’s also a great opportunity to view San Juan’s fall foliage across the marsh.
Preserve parking is limited to 10 cars; please carpool. Visit https://sjclandbank.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Beaverton-Marsh_map09_2024_TWedit.pdf for preserve map and driving directions.
