The caller for the third Saturday Contra Dance this month is Judy Zeidel from Bellingham, who will include her waltzing workshop once again. Last year’s workshop was very successful and many of us are waltzing around the dance floor now at each dance. Zeidel will help us take it to the next level!
The dancing takes place on 7-9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Grange Hall. The cost is a $10 donation at the door, $5 students.
The band will be Contraversitile, a quartet that hails from Yakima. Bandmates include Gary Miller on fiddle and accordion, Shelly Jenkins on piano and Len Rickey on mandolin.
Come enjoy the dance with us, as you probably all know, all dances are taught, no partner or experience needed, everyone is welcome.
The dance is sponsored by San Juan Island Grange No. 966. Check our Facebook page at San Juan Islands Contra Dance.
