The Friday Harbor Sailing Club will meet on Wednesday, March 15 at the Grange for our monthly social meeting at 5:30 p.m. It will include a potluck dinner, bring a place setting and something to share. Jason and Emily Knott run a marine business at Jensen’s Marina and speak to the club. They will introduce us to all that is offered at Jensen’s Marina to help keep our boats in top working condition. Jason will also discuss sailing opportunities for young people. Our sailing club supports any and all opportunities for people of all ages to learn to sail. Plan to come out and join us on the water.

April will usher in all kinds of sailing opportunities and activities including an April 8th Saturday Sailing Clinic at Shipyard Cove beginning at 10 a.m. We will enjoy an introduction to sailing and racing followed by a BBQ lunch and a dock walk. Weather permitting, we will head out for an introductory sail.

Our annual Flotsam Sea and Flea Market will fill the San Juan County Fair Grounds Building on April 22 beginning at 8 a.m. We will offer all kinds of marine paraphilia. We offer everyone the option to have a booth to sell or walk the aisles to buy, cash only. This will be your opportunity to empty the garage and turn historic treasures into cash or discover that electric outboard motor or fishing rod you’ve been looking for!
