Join Island Rec for its annual Community New Year’s Eve Celebration and count down to the New Year with family, neighbors and friends. It’s an all-ages affair filled with board games, Xbox, Wii station, crafts, dancing, wild hat making/parade/contest, bingo, twister, snazzy photo ‘booth’, chess/backgammon/cribbage tournament, and much more. Bring a savory or sweet pot-luck snack. The event is from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 31 at the Mullis Center.
