Happiest ‘Dance’ of all

The 'happiest' dance show in the galaxy will be in the spotlight when the 29th annual Dance Happy extravaganza takes center stage of San Juan Community Theatre, Saturday.

Extravaganza? You bet.

The ‘happiest’ dance show in the galaxy will be in the spotlight when the 29th annual Dance Happy extravaganza takes center stage of San Juan Community Theatre, Saturday.

Featuring more than 50 dancers, children and adults, the 2013 D.H. troupe will strut their stuff beginning at 7 p.m.

The show includes performances by the “Skip to My Lou” kids, “I’m A Little Star” dancers, and “Animal Crackers” tap-dancers, as well as the twirling, colorful costumes and quick feet of Monarca. But that’s not all.

The show features exotic belly dancers and local musicians, including singers Debbie Nash-Strasser and Skylar Moeder, lending their talent to this year’s one-of-a-kind dance and song revue.

Tickets at the theatre box office; $16 adults, $8 students, $5 Rush, or online, www.sjctheatre.org (378-3210).
