Island Hospital in Anacortes will present three free online classes focusing on Medicare, grief and loss and cholesterol.

Medicare

Learn more about your Medicare options at a free class from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 8. Traditional coverage, supplements, advantage plans, prescription drug coverage, enrollment information and Medicare fraud protection will be covered. This is an online class and registration is required.

Grief and loss

Join an expert from Hospice of the Northwest for a discussion on grief and loss. Understand how grief can manifest and learn tools for coping with and normalizing loss. Tips on self-care and available community resources will be reviewed. This free online class takes place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 11.

Cholesterol

Chronically elevated cholesterol levels increase the risk for heart attack and stroke. Join Registered Dietitian Amber Phillips for an informative 30-minute talk on small changes you can make to your diet beyond the standard advice to reduce saturated fat and cholesterol intake. This will be a virtual class, from 2:30–3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17.
