Do you know what “ecology” is? That’s the question as you join Bobo Darling and his new friend, Irv the turtle. On a magical walk, the two take you on a unique journey through the alphabet in an effort to help raise awareness about ecology. This book teaches simple solutions to help protect our planet Earth in a fun-to-read rhyme that is entertaining, as well as, educational.

Angel was born in Memphis, Tenn. He earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in Children’s Literature and Art Illustration in 1995. After college, Angel worked in many well-known restaurants before and after completing his second degree, this time in the Culinary Arts, from Johnson and Wales University in 1998.

In 2003, Angel and his wife, Kristi, started Angel’s Food, a gourmet catering company in the San Juan Islands. They have called Orcas Island their home since May 1999.

Angel’s Food For
Thought was created with his family in 2008. It was formed with dreams and aspirations of “helping children develop an appetite to learn” and “raising funds for charity, through educational clarity.”

A percentage of the proceeds for every book sold at this event will go the Friday Harbor Elementary School PTA. This unique book will capture your imagination just in time for the holidays.

This evening of story telling and book signing is co-sponsored by the PTA and Friends of the Library. Cider and hot cocoa will be served.

This hard-bound, full-color book retails for $19.95 and is also available at www.angelsfoodforthought.com. If ordering online, designate “FHESPTA” in the memo.
