The San Juan Island Library is partnering with Seattle Arts and Lectures to present a livestream conversation with author David Brooks, one of the nation’s leading writers and commentators. In his latest book, “How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen,” Brooks delivers a practical, heartfelt guide to fostering deeper connections at home, at work and throughout our lives. In doing so, Brooks digs into the essential conversations and questions of any community or relationship: how do we feel seen?

The livestream event will take place on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. and be followed by a Q and A with award-winning author Timothy Egan. Join us in person at the library for a community viewing party.
