Celebrate local art at San Juan Islands Museum of Art

Submitted by SJIMA

Celebrate local artists at the San Juan Island Museum of art this winter. “A Celebration for the Community” runs from Dec. 20 through Jan. 21.

The exhibition features the works of local artists Sam Connery and Mary Ann Rock, as well as Spring Street International School students.

The show is intended to celebrate the art of two revered local artists and give everyone an opportunity to see pieces not normally available for viewing.

For those who have art by Connery and Rock, and would like to loan it for the exhibition, call 360-370-5050 or email admin@sjima.org. If possible, include contact information, the artist’s name and measurements of the art and title.

This celebration will be open to the community and visitors. Admission will be free of charge.

Visit sjima.org to discover more information on SJIMA workshops and family activities.

Admission to the exhibition is free, and the museum is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Fridays through Mondays. SJIMA is located at 540 Spring St. in Friday Harbor.
